The Fall
The fall of the rain outside,
as many as the tears I cry.
The fall of my heart
like the fall of a ten thousand leaves
falling from the tip-tip-top of the tallest oak tree
The fall of night
where I find little rest
where I once slept soundly
upon your chest.
the fall of things that were
and are no more
The fall of you and me,
(at least how we used to be)
yet
